If you are a passionate, forward-thinking individual ready to shape the future of marine science and biotechnology, we are pleased to inform you that the application period is now open for the EU-CONEXUS Joint Master's Programme in Marine Biotechnology, created by the European University Alliance EU-CONEXUS.

What does this Master's programme offer?

  • Duration: 2 years (120 ECTS) with 4 specialisation tracks: Innovative Bioproducts for Future, Blue Biomass, Marine Biorefinery, and Aquaculture Biotechnology.
  • Language of instruction: English.
  • Teaching staff: esteemed professors and industry professionals from leading universities, firms, and research centres.
  • Skills to generate knowledge and innovation. Discovery and development of marine-derived molecules and innovative marine natural products using state-of-the-art techniques. The programme focuses on solving sector-based challenges and managing biotechnological innovation projects, including R&D transfer and the protection of industrial and intellectual property.
  • International experience: Study in a minimum of three different European countries with multiple study mobility options within the alliance.
  • Research and global networking: Participate in cutting-edge research in blue biotechnology. Join an international classroom with students from 20+ nationalities to build a global network of experts and academics.

Career in the Marine Biotechnology sector developed in collaboration with stakeholders to meet the current needs of the biotechnical sector, increasing employability through multidisciplinary and international teamwork.

 

Tuition Fees and Financial Aid

There is one call for applications only, open from 1 December 2025 to 30 April 2026.

  • Tuition Fees:
    • 5,000 € per year for citizens and permanent residents of the EU, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Turkey.
    • €9,000 € per year for non-EU citizens.

Financial Aid: We are offering 15 places with a 100% tuition fee waiver. Please note that all other places are completely self-funded.
